• What information do I need to have available to view bid documents? Visit the Washington County online bidding portal at https://washco-md.ionwave.net

The County does not maintain its own list of bidders.  Vendors are encouraged to visit the County’s online bidding portal at https://washco-md.ionwave.net  to view notices of formal bids/quotes as well as the State’s eMaryland Marketplace website.

In addition to the Purchasing Department, the Washington County Engineering and Construction Department advertises solicitation via the online bidding portal at https://washco-md.ionwave.net

• Yes, anyone can attend bid/quote openings. Attendance is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged. Attendance can be made via a conference call conducted in a Microsoft Teams environment.

Bid results are posted through the online bidding portal at https://washco-md.ionwave.net 

Bid tabulations are posted on the Purchasing Department’s online bidding portal showing the “apparent low bidder”; however, contract award is not official until after the formal award is made by the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County, Maryland.  After the bid is awarded, only the successful bidder will be notified via email/award letter.  Notice of the award shall also be posted on the online bidding portal.

Registering as a vendor through the online bidding portal is user-friendly and does not take long. When registering, it is important to enter your information correctly, as all correspondence will be sent via the portal.
