| HAGERSTOWN, MD (October 31, 2025) – The Washington County Department of Business and Economic Development reminds local growers and agricultural businesses that the Washington County Agricultural Innovation and Equipment Grant application period ends today at 4:00 p.m. EST.
The Agricultural Innovation and Equipment Grant is designed exclusively for Washington County, MD farms and farm owners to fuel growth, encourage innovation, and strengthen the local agricultural economy. A total of $100,000 in funding is available during this grant cycle.
Grant Details:
- Opens: Monday, October 13, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. EST
- Closes: Friday, October 31, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. EST
- Funding Available: $1,000 – $25,000 (from a $100,000 pool)
Eligible projects may include, but are not limited to:
- Business planning or marketing expansion
- Value-added ventures
- Conservation and research improvements
- Upgrading agricultural buildings or structures
- Purchasing equipment or major fixtures
All submissions will be evaluated using a predefined project scoring sheet, which outlines the criteria and point values for each section of the application
