WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD (June 24, 2025) – The Washington County Parks and Recreation Department is announcing the temporary closure of High Rock Overlook for maintenance and safety improvements.
The overlook will be closed to the public for one week, beginning June 24, 2025, and is expected to reopen by July 1, 2025.
This temporary closure is part of the County’s ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and accessibility of public recreation areas. We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding during this time.
Pen Mar Park will remain open and accessible to the public throughout the duration of the closure.
