Washington County Government Seeks Members for Environmental Management Advisory Committee

HAGERSTOWN, MD (February 20, 2019) – The Washington County Board of County Commissioners is seeking applicants interested in serving on the Environmental Management Advisory Committee.

The Environmental Management Advisory Committee was established in June 2018 and will provide the Commissioners and County staff with advice and suggestions in regards to policies and procedures for the Division of Environmental Management. This committee will seek advisement regarding new regulatory proposals, County Water and Sewer Service Policies, the County Resource Element of the Comprehensive plan, all local solid waste issues, evaluating the Solid Waste Plan, and the biennial update of the Solid Waste Management and Recycling Plans.

Liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential personal on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, until noon. Essential personnel are expected to fulfill their duties as usual.

The starting time for today’s Board of County Commissioners meeting will be reevaluated at 9:00 am.
