Liberal Leave in Effect for Washington County Government

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD (December 14, 2025) – Washington County Government announces that liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential employees until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025, due to inclement weather and Washington County Public Schools operating on a 2-hour delay.  Essential personnel are expected to report as scheduled and fulfill their duties as usual.

Transit will operate on a normal schedule, however, routes may be modified.

The 40 West Landfill and all transfer stations will open at normal operating hours.
