Back Road – The County has advertised the project for bids. Bids are due on May 3, 2019.  The work involves rebuilding the existing road, installing new culverts, and providing stream bank stabilization measures. The work will begin in summer 2019 and is scheduled to be completed by summer 2020.

McCoy Road – The County anticipates a start date of summer 2019 for the culvert replacement on McCoy Road and the replacement of a haul route structure off of Chestnut Grove Road. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

Sandy Hook Road – The National Park Service is still working on the design and historic preservation process for permanent repairs to the landslide area at Sandy Hook Road. At this time, the National Park Service has not indicated a timeframe for these repairs.

Garretts Mill Road – The precast concrete arch bridge has been prefabricated and is scheduled to be placed early next month. The Contractor (Building Systems, Inc.) is currently working on the sub-foundation concrete. The road at the bridge is currently scheduled to reopen by the end of May 2019. A public notice will be made one week prior to the opening of the roadway.

Various Road Repairs – The Highway Department continues to work on multiple affected South County Roads replacing damaged culverts and repairing roadway shoulders and traffic barrier.
