The Rural Heritage Museum, located at the Agricultural Education Center, was opened in May 2001. After years of operation, we continue to grow. New buildings and programs are being added each year.
The Friends of the Washington County Rural Heritage Museum were formed to lend support to the Museum. It is a private non-profit corporation incorporated in the State of Maryland, determined by the IRS to be an organization described in section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Rural Heritage Museum is open and staffed with volunteers. The Friends of the Museum organization assists in recruiting and training all volunteers. All funds raised by the Friends are dedicated to Museum events and activities.
Your membership is important to provide income and to support continuing programs. Please demonstrate your support for the Rural Heritage Museum and what it represents in the community.
