MISSION: To provide a safe, well-maintained highway system that offers mobility and supports the area economy for all citizens.
The Highway Department performs all types of road maintenance and repairs on County owned roads, including potholes, sunken trenches, stormwater drainage, roadside maintenance, signs, signals, pavement markings and snow removal.
In addition, maintenance, repair and fueling for County fleet vehicles is managed by the Central Section Fleet Management. See Fleet Management in the navigation bar on the left for more information.
The Highway Department maintains four sections of public roads and infrastructure in the county; Central, Eastern, Southern and Western sections. Click here or on the map above to see the Highway section boundaries.
