County Road and Bridge Project Status

Fiscal Year 2011 Pavement Maintenance & Rehabilitation Program (PMP-FY11)

Paving Season - Spring/Summer 2011
The County’s Pavement Maintenance & Rehabilitation Project has issued two (2) contracts for construction this season.
The first to start is the Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) contract which was awarded to Craig Paving, Inc. of Hagerstown, Maryland.  This project consists of milling, patching, crack filling and asphalt overlay on 29.47 miles on various roadways. The contract begins Monday, April 4th with completion no later than October 17, 2011. Please refer to the "Hot Mix Asphalt Maintenance List” (in PDF format) for specific details on individual roads.

The second contract is a continuation of the Chip Seal contract work that began last September. The Chip Seal Contractor is American Paving and Fabrics, Inc. of Hanover, Maryland. Work on this contract will begin May 16th and is proposed to conclude June 30, 2011. The remaining chip seal work for this construction season occurs on 13.63 miles of roadway.  Please refer to the "Chip Seal Road Maintenance List” (in PDF format) for specific details on individual roads.
