The Office on Disability Issues (ODI) helps ensure equal rights
under
law for people who have disabilities in Washington County. The Office
enforces Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act within County
Government, to guarantee that all County programs and activities are
open to, and usable by, all County Citizens.
The Office acts as an information
and referral service for all disability-related matters in Washington
County, Maryland, and is the local representation for the Governor's
Office for Individuals with Disabilities.
The
Office is the official County Government laiason with the Washington
County Disabilities Advisory Committee (DAC),
which provides advice and Guidance to the Board of County Commissioners
on matters of interest and concern to our citizens who have disabilities.
