Increase efficiency within the department
- Communicate with staff on policy changes, goals & directions as information becomes available
- Provide necessary tools and support required for staff to successfully complete projects
- Hold monthly departmental staff meetings
Provide timely and accurate permit processing and information to the public
- Provide clear direction and realistic productivity standards. Complete a SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) Manual
- Provide ongoing training on departmental software
- Implement File Maintenance Policy
Provide growth for all employees within the department
- Perform pre-application reviews (screener)
- Return phone calls within 24 hours
- Answer correspondence within 5 working days
- Respond to requested inspections within 24 hours 90% of the time
Adopt and Implement new codes
- Implement certification program
- Reorganization of department
