Citizen Complaint Form

Complete this form to submit a complaint to the Permitting Department for individuals you believe may be violating the Washington County Zoning Ordinance, Washington County Livability Code, or the Washington County Weed Control Ordinance.  You may also file a complaint for individuals and/or contractors performing work without an approved permit, i.e. building, electrical, plumbing and/or mechanical.

NOTE: The complaint will not be processed without the complainant's contact information - name, address, telephone number and e-mail address as well as the address of the alleged violation.  The property owner's name should also be provided, if available.

What Happens Next...
Upon receipt of the complaint, an inspector will make a visit to the location.  Once verified a violation exists, the responsible party will be issued a field correction notice and given a time frame to correct the violation.  The time frame will vary with the type of correction.  Failure to correct the violation may result in the issuance of a citation and/or charges being filed in the District Court of Maryland for Washington County.
