Washington County CHARACTER COUNTS!℠ Award

The Washington County Office of Community Grant Management is announcing a new initiative to honor the children and youth in Washington County. This award will be given to a child or youth who demonstrates outstanding ability in one of the Six Pillars of Character, which is the foundation of CHARACTER COUNTS!. These six pillars are Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship. These characteristics are very important to the growth of our children in today’s society.
Any school or organization may submit the name of a child or youth, kindergarten through twelfth grade, as a nominee for the monthly Washington County CHARACTER COUNTS! Award.
All nominations must be submitted on the
nomination form below. Application materials will
not be returned. The Washington County Office of Community Grant Management asks for your support in recognizing
these outstanding children and youth.
Each award winner will receive a certificate signed by each of the Washington County Commissioners and a CHARACTER COUNTS! T-shirt.
Applications will be accepted between September 1 and April 1 of the current school year.
If you have any questions concerning this award, please contact Laura Reamy at 240-313-2040.
"CHARACTER COUNTS!" is a service mark of the "CHARACTER COUNTS!" Coalition, a project of the Josephson Institute of Ethics.
