Washington County Community Partnership
for Children & Families
CHARACTER COUNTS!℠ Award
The Washington County Community Partnership for Children & Families (WCCP) is announcing a new initiative to honor the children and youth in Washington County. This award will be given to a child or youth who demonstrates outstanding ability in one of the Six Pillars of Character, which is the foundation of CHARACTER COUNTS!. These six pillars are Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship. These characteristics are very important to the growth of our children in today’s society.
Any school or organization may submit the name of a child or youth, kindergarten through twelfth grade, as a nominee for the monthly Community Partnership CHARACTER COUNTS! Award.
All nominations must be submitted on the
nomination form below. Application materials will
not be returned. The WCCP asks for your support in recognizing
these outstanding children and youth.
Each award winner will receive a certificate signed by each of the Washington
County Commissioners and a CHARACTER COUNTS!
T-shirt. Additionally, the recipients
and their immediate family will be invited to attend the annual awards banquet
at the end of the academic year.
Applications will be accepted between September 1 and May 10 of the current school year. Thank you very much.
If you have any questions concerning this award, please contact Tom Kline at 240-313-2092.
"CHARACTER COUNTS!" is a service mark of the "CHARACTER COUNTS!" Coalition, a project of the Josephson Institute of Ethics.
