Kristin B. Aleshire
Kristin B. Aleshire, a native of Hagerstown, served 6 years on the City Council before being elected as a Washington County Commissioner. He is a 1996 graduate of Hagerstown Community College and a 1998 graduate of Salisbury State University. Kristin is a professional land use planner for ARRO Inc., a local engineering firm, and resides in Hagerstown with his wife Tenneille.

Terry L. Baker
Terry is a first-term County Commissioner. He is a 1973 graduate of Williamsport High School, a 1975 Graduate of Hagerstown Junior College and a 1978 Graduate of Auburn University, with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Education. Terry is employed as a trades instructor (carpentry) at the Washington County Technical High School. He was elected to serve on the municipality of Clear Spring as a Council Member (2002-2004) and then as Assistant Mayor (2204-2006). Terry and his wife, Katrina, reside in Clear Spring and are the proud parents of twin daughters Jessica and Jennifer.

John Franklin Barr
John is a first-term County Commissioner. He was raised in Boonsboro, Maryland. He is a Master Electrician in five (5) states. In high school, John worked for his dad as a field electrician at M/L Electric, Inc., which began in 1927. In 1979 he formed the management team overseeing the service department. In 1984 John bought the company from his dad, changed the name to Ellsworth Electric, Inc. in honor of both his father and father-in-law, whose middle names were Ellsworth. He has built the company from 75 employees to 150-employees. John is active in various service organizations and community projects. He married Teresa L. Myers in 1975 and has four children and two grandchildren. His hobbies include helping others no matter what the project; motorcycling, horseback riding and farming.

James F. Kercheval
James F. Kercheval is a second term Commissioner and was born and raised in Washington County. Jim graduated from Smithsburg High School (Co-Valedictorian) in 1983, attended Hagerstown Community College and received a B.A. degree in Mathematics/Computer Science from Shippensburg University in 1987. Following college, Jim became partner in Em-Ing’s Broiled Foods, a restaurant/catering operation in Ocean City, MD. In 1990 he sold his share of the business and opened Kerch’s Southern BBQ in Hagerstown. Jim has been a member of various local organizations including the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, Board member of Hagerstown Rotary, Past-President of the Hagerstown Jaycees, and was named Washington County Chamber of Commerce’s Small Businessman of the Year in 2000. Jim and his wife, Clair, have three sons, Jacob, Garrett and Luke.

William J. Wivell
Bill is a third-term County Commissioner and is Business Manager for Saint James School. He is a Certified Public Accountant, holding a Masters degree in Business from Mount Saint Mary's University. He also holds a Bachelor's degree and Associate's degree from Shepherd University and Hagerstown Community College, respectively. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA). Bill is a lifetime resident of Washington County, residing in the Smithsburg area.
